Math We just took our subtraction test. We are starting measurement. I think this will be a breath of fresh air! Reading Keep reading at home. We are working hard on our fluency at school as well. Encourage your child to continue checking out books for their book in a bag. And remember to return their calendars! A new March calendar went home this week. Social Studies / Science We just ended our science kit with butterflies and mealworms/beetles. We are still waiting for some of our mealworms to change! We are finishing learning about the United States of America and will start learning about Continents and Oceans next week. District News FEBRUARY 28: MS Parent Teacher Conferences, 4 - 8 pm 28: HS Registration Fair, HS Commons - Students in grades 9-11 and their parents are encouraged to attend between 4 and 7:30 p.m. Current 8th graders are invited to attend with their parents for a presentation from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. and may then meet teachers from 7:30 - 8:00 p.m. MARCH 11: School Board Meeting, 6:30 pm 13: Early Dismissal, 1 pm 15: End of 3rd Quarter 18 - 22: Spring Break - NO SCHOOL 28: HS Parent Teacher Conferences,4 - 8 pm Weekly Reminders tanyawaltersclassroom.weebly.com ---I am continuing to add math and reading sites, so please keep checking it out! I just added spelling lists to it as well! ---Keep checking and signing your child’s planner. If you haven’t seen it yet, ask them about it! ---Our school collects box tops, so if you notice any of these on canned foods, boxed food, cereal, tissues, anything, please save them and send with your child to school. ---Book Bags can be returned each morning if your child is ready for a new book.
